A rare visit to this website from my husband, with our pup, enjoying our December snowfall this year.
Pup by the Tree
My precious puppy with his toy from Christmas a few years ago. He obviously loves ducks!
A beautiful, bright winter's morning in our home...and our beloved pooch!
My rescue dog - he wandered up to where I worked, full of heartworms and dog bites. This is one of his favorite chairs, where he graciously deigned to let me photograph him.
He loved this squeaky duck toy. We have since found out why - he is quite the "birder" dog! But I love the way he was guarding his "catch" as we played together. This photo was also part of a puppy calendar!
He was watching the squirrels in the trees - from the boat - hilarious!
Frolicking Beer Cat
This little cat of ours was such a character! If it was tiny, and a box, she could always be found there. One evening, as we were searching for her (again), my daughter said "Oh Mom, look!" And we all burst out in giggles at this silly little "beer cat"!!!
Our funny little Calico again. She loved hiding!
Sunny Snooze Cat
This little cat of ours - another one - loved to sleep in the sunshine. It didn't matter where the sun was coming in, she would always find her "spot in the sun". Maybe we all need to do this sometimes?!?
I found her in a tree, a tiny, abandoned 6-week-old kitten. She was my precious little one for many years. I love this picture as it shows her beautiful markings and pensive nature...always watchful.
So, Gryffin was a 13 year old Labradoodle who we sometimes would take care of while his owner was away. We laughed at this "smile" of his (which actually is how he ends his yawn)!
Old age is tough for animals as well as humans, yet there is such an inherent dignity in this place in life, as Gryffin clearly showed us while we gracefully, and at times playfully, aged.
She was our Samoyed husky who loved to sit on the dock and absorb the sun's warmth - a sweet and gentle pup for sure.
Our two beautiful Samoyeds - they were great dogs for kids, very gentle and easy, for which I was profoundly grateful.
